BOB GORNY GUITARS: Bob Gorny's interest in the customizing repair and building of guitars came to him as a personal necessity and as a collaboration with great player and future owner of Perry's Music,Rob Gurka; a lifelong friend and fellow band member.
Bob's Tool and Die machining experience and exposure to precision metalworking, coupled with his art background gave him the skills to perfect new innovations in the performance of guitars.
His skills in sculpting the shapes and contours of the bodies enhance their playability and take full advantage of the premium quality appearance and stability of the woods he chooses to make guitars with outstanding voices.
ABOUT BOB: Bob is more than a master luthier. He has studied at the Chicago Institue of Art and has a strong interest in mechanics and the sciences.
The acoustic guitar is his first love, he has played professionally as lead and backup guitarist for many years with countless professionals. His abilities as a finger style player is remarkable since his hands can span a large dinner plate; and at 6' 8" and over 350 pounds, he is a gentle giant with the playing skills of a maestro.
